About us
We are Giorgos & Alex, and this is Cretan Gathering.
It started like most great things in Crete — with good food, good friends, and maybe a little too much raki.
One of us (Giorgos) couldn’t stop cooking. The other (Alex) couldn’t stop organising. Somewhere between the last bite and the next laugh, we looked around and thought:
“This… this feeling — we need to share it.”
That’s how the Cretan Gathering was born.
Giorgos is the chef. He lives for flavour, for balance, for tradition. Give him a handful of herbs and a charcoal grill, and he’ll give you a feast with a story.
Alex is the planner. He ensures everything runs smoothly—from the first idea to the last fireworks. He’s calm, organised, and one step ahead (especially when Giorgos starts improvising).
Together, we don’t just cater — we create.
